The UN data is belated. After google acquired trendalyzer and is making a lot of data available to the world. I think we are yet to see the last in this IT wave. Go to http://www.gapminder.org and see for yourself what information is really about. Also you can use the web-based interactive tool called trendalyzer or watch videos of Hans Rosling on http://www.ted.com. They had better hand over the UN information to google.Those ones know what to do with information.
