I worked in one of MYRADA's projects based in Andhra Pradesh, where the first SHG - Bank linkage in India started through VYSYA Bank ( the present ING - Vysya Bank) who had lent loans to 4 SHGs formed by MYRADA Kadiri project. This experience of working in MYRADA has really awakened us to respond to the ground realities in a practical means of development. My heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Fernandez for giving this life time opportunity to gain insights into real India. To my mind, Aloysius is the evangelist of the Indian model of microfinance, which to me, is the most customer friendly model. I belong to the first batch of bankers to be initiated into microfinance under the mentorship of Aloysius. This has been the turning point of my career. MF has now become for me an abiding passion.
