Your first hand information seems to be practically better then my secondary research. But it gives me a very pessimistic view about the state of affairs. The ministry has already given a mandate for Community service centre (which probably you refer to as single window). The Common Services Centres Scheme is a part of the ambitious National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) with a total budget outlay of Rs. 22,600 Cr. 100,000 Common Services Centers in Rural India. 10,000 Common Services Centers in Urban India. One CSC to service a cluster of 6 villages. The best part being, the scheme is to be implemented in a PPP Framework. Lot of work is still under progress and as u siad correctly it’s too early to draw any conclusion. We need to first inspect are we ready for good governance. If yes, then replacing ‘good’ for ‘e’ is just a small transition
