Job Openings at SKS Foundation, Hyderabad, India

There are currently two openings at SKS Foundation that we thought our readers might be interested in: 1) Summer Intern at the Ultra Poor Program and 2) Program Director.  First, here is a brief description of SKS Foundation:

Swayam Krishi Sangam Foundation is a non-profit arm of SKS Microfinance.  SKS Foundation is determined to eradicate poverty in India through initiatives to empower the ultra poor to become self-reliant by providing access to economic, social and health development. The SKS Ultra Poor Program, modeled after the highly successful BRAC program in Bangladesh, attacks the challenge of extreme poverty on three levels: economic, social and health, and aims to graduate clients into being able to run a sustainable income-generating enterprise—and potentially into mainstream microfinance.

SKS Summer Intern position (Fundraising) - Hyderabad, India

  • Website content for the SKS Ultra Poor Program
  • NGO promotional materials, including NGO newsletter and brochures
  • Case-study log for Ultra Poor Program (for website and fundraising)
  • Identification of potential funders and strategic partners 
  • Database with information about prospective funders

SKS Program Director Position – Hyderabad, India

The SKS Program Director spearheads the direction, planning, and execution of NGO fundraising and development-related activities for the organization. The Program Director will provide vision and leadership and oversee NGO programs, specifically the Ultra Poor Program of SKS. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, fundraising, board development, documentation, communications and public relations, and overall program development.
