Thanks Rahul – this is definitely true. Even in some of the villages I visited in India, people might not have had toilets, but they certainly owned cellphones, at times shared by multiple members of the family. This is heartening, but at the same time, maybe we can somehow harness this technology trend to influence things like sanitation and water access, which are seriously lagging behind?

well, I believe mobile technology can really alleviate people belonging to the lowest strata of society, reduces their age long wait for every bare necessity.
