Even in some of the villages I visited in India, people might not have had toilets, but they certainly owned cellphones, at times shared by multiple members of the family.    This is heartening, but at the same time, maybe we can somehow harness this technology trend to influence things like sanitation and water access, which are seriously lagging behind?</description>
